We begin our Corsican adventure in Porto Vecchio at the Hotel Goeland. Flew in from Paris to the airport in Figari, rented a car and drove the 40 minutes to the hotel.
Relaxing before dinner in front of the Mediterranean.
Still light as we sat down to eat.
Darkness soon fell and the seared sesame encrusted tuna was delightful supported by the deep Mediterranean Blue Sky.
Next day we explored the citadel above the port.
In the harbor below you can catch a ferry to Marseille or Naples.
It was fun to explore the narrow streets of the former citadel.
Time for shopping and buying some of the excellent knives traditionally made by the men while their wives run the shops.
After a perfect breakfast on the terrace we are off to the next stop.
