My name is Ethan Anthony, and I am the Principal architect at Cram and Ferguson Architects, a firm started in 1889 by Ralph Adams Cram and steeped in history.  My wife and I have been wandering the European continent the last 17 years, usually once a year for a month. On those adventures we have visited and photographed many monasteries and cathedrals. This blog is the continuing saga of our quest for beauty in architecture of the spirit. Our research informs my work as an architect of churches and other buildings of the spirit.
